ENTRY LEVEL CNC Operator/Technician

Anderson Machining Service, Inc. is interviewing for an “Earn as you Learn” CNC Training Program.  You can make a living wage with health insurance, and other benefits while learning not just a job, but also a career.  

Training will include an introduction to all areas of CNC Machining, including actual experience with the operation of CNC machines, blue print reading, close tolerance inspection, principles of work holding, machine maintenance, metal cutting tools, tool room prep, shop practices, and safety. Applicants must have good math and problem solving skills, and also be proficient in following written instructions. This is a challenging job with good earnings potential for a lifetime.  Leadership skills, attention to detail, frequent computer usage, with a history of good attendance are valued and necessary.

2nd & 3rd SHIFT CNC OPERATORS

Anderson Machining Service, Inc. is looking for experienced CNC operators for our 2nd and 3rd shifts to manage a production line operation and produce a finished product in accordance to plan and schedule.  Experience should include CNC Lathes and/or Machining Centers, either horizontal or vertical.  Problem-solving abilities and reliable attendance are requirements.

CNC operator production activities include: Preparing production equipment for operation, assisting with equipment changeovers, maintaining production line operations and making equipment adjustments when needed. In addition, a CNC operator at AMS ensures the accurate entry of all requested production and quality data and maintains material integrity through appropriate and timely labeling. From time to time you will be asked to share what you know as a mentor, preparing others for production job responsibilities by demonstrating how operational procedures are carried out. The maintenance of a safe and clean working environment by assuring that all procedures, rules, and regulations are complied with is a must.

CNC SET-UP SPECIALIST

Applicants for this set-up position should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in setting up CNC mills (horizontal and vertical) and/or lathes. Experience with set up reduction principals and the ability to develop a plan to manage the on line and off line tasks is preferred. An ability to interpret blueprints, as well as, choose and use a variety of inspection tools is required. Maintaining quality standards by conducting first-piece and line-clearance inspection; completing production control charts; analyzing records and statistics to make equipment adjustments. Normal CNC operator activities will also apply when the situation requires it so you will be trained in AMS’s complete system of operational procedures.

Manufacturing Engineer, CNC Focus: IMMEDIATE NEEDS!

Actively looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with CNC programming expertise for permanent employment. Applicant must have an Associates Degree or equivalent in a related field and 3 to 5 years of G - Code programming experience and solid experience using a mainstream CAD/CAM software package. AMS, Inc. use Solidworks 2011+ & ESPRIT 2011+ Previous experience with either of these is a plus. Past experience with 4+ axis milling, turning, and mill/turn centers, and understanding of proper tool application is required. Previous machining and set-up experience a plus. Applicant must demonstrate good communication skills and have an aptitude for clearly defining effective manufacturing processes for varying levels of production.

CMM PROGRAMMER

Applicant must have at least 5 years experience programming CMM’s in a precision machining environment. Experience with Ziess Calypso software is strongly preferred. Applicants need a strong understanding of Geometric Tolerance, and the inspection of non-prismatic, odd shaped parts. Statistical Process Control background strongly desired. Applicant must demonstrate good communication skills and have an aptitude for clearly defining effective manufacturing processes for varying levels of production.

DIRECT TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE

The technical skills needed in this position include; an understanding of CNC Machining, Blueprint reading, Work holding principles, tooling, ISO, and other related disciplines. In this position you will prospect and develop new sales leads while assisting with maintenance on existing accounts through both inside and outside sales activity. You must understand a client’s needs and offer solutions that provide business and technical value while identifying new opportunities for business to increase market share with current business partners. You will work with internal staff members to represent the company with a unified and professional vision. Successful applicant will have the ability to demonstrate success in identifying, prospecting, closing, & maintaining accounts. Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong self-initiative and self-discipline will be required.
